Lauren Adaska

Co-Artistic Director

Lauren Adaska is a Southern California–based soprano who feels most at home in close musical collaboration. Her career centers on professional choral performance at the highest level, spanning intimate chamber repertoire and large-scale symphonic productions. Raised in California’s Central Valley, she sang in choirs and musical theater before earning her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from California State University, Fullerton in 2019.

Lauren is a roster soprano with Resonant, one of Southern California’s premier up-and-coming professional vocal ensembles, performing chamber repertoire, recording professional audio and video projects, and collaborating with contemporary composers. She also sings with the Grammy Award–winning Pacific Chorale and Los Angeles Master Chorale, contributing to large-scale choral-orchestral works, recordings, and major concert projects throughout the region. A significant portion of her work engages sacred repertoire through a historical and stylistic lens; she works as a staff singer at multiple Catholic churches in the LA area, specializing in chant, early polyphony, and historically informed performance practice. Her performance experience ranges from intimate a cappella programs to major concert halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Glinka Cappella in St. Petersburg, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles. She has performed under conductors including John Williams and Esa-Pekka Salonen, and in programs featuring artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Kathleen Battle.

In addition to performing, Lauren is the co-founder and co-artistic director of Golden Hour Chamber Music, where she develops and curates programming that highlights local and emerging composers, commissions new works, and blends chamber music with interdisciplinary collaborations. Alongside her co-director, she oversees all aspects of the organization’s operations, including long-term strategic planning, financial management, donor relations, marketing, and audience engagement. Through Golden Hour, she seeks to build sustainable, high-level artistic structures that support musicians, foster community, and create meaningful concert experiences. She also serves as Social Media Director for Jouyssance Early Music Ensemble and as Ensemble Administrator for Resonant, overseeing season planning, singer coordination, scheduling, social media, and operational workflow.

Lauren lives in Pasadena with her dog Albert, who attends every rehearsal and (correctly) considers himself an essential member of each ensemble.
